Malaysian GP – Stefano Nepa leaves Malaysia without reward
The Malaysian Grand Prix is already done and dusted and, with it, the 2019 flyaway races. The Reale Avintia Arizona 77 rider, Stefano Nepa, could not finish the race and was forced to retire following a crash.
After achieving a great result in the Australian Grand Prix last week when he finished in the TOP-10, Stefano Nepa has not been able to repeat the high performance in the Sepang International Circuit. Unfortunately, with 12 laps to go, the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 Italian rider crashed in the last corner of the Sepang International Circuit in an action where another rider was involved. Although the Italian picked up his KTM and tried to finish the race, he had to enter in the box to retire.
In two weeks time, the Reale Avintia Arizona 77 will travel to the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste where the 2019 season will come to an end in the GP de la Comunitat Valenciana.
It has been a pretty good weekend except from the race. We suffered with the set-up on Friday and Saturday but we weren’t so far away and I was relaxed for the race because the pace was good. Unfortunately, at the start, the bike made a wheelie and I lost some positions and when I had to recover, I had to fight with other riders in the back of the group and each lap was crazy. In the fourth or fifth lap I had a contact with another rider on the last corner and he made me crash. Races are like this sometimes, now you have to be focused for the last race. Thanks to the team, my family and the sponsors. See you in Valencia!
